USA BASEBALL VIRTUAL COACHING CLINICSDue to COVID-19, USA Baseball has established Online Community Clinics that will take the place of the in-person Community Clinics that are part of the USA Baseball Coaches Certification Pathway. The USA Baseball Coaches Certification pathway is open to any and all individuals who are currently coaching baseball or aspire to coach at any level of the game.
COOL, CALM, COLLECTED: HELPING PLAYERS SELF REGULATEDo you have players who struggle with big emotions? In this training, we discuss the brain science (we promise we make it easy!) behind the emotions that children have and what adults can do to support children who are struggling to self-regulate. You will gain practical tips for helping motivate children who are feeling sluggish and calm students who are experiencing big emotions, all while learning ways you can tune into your child’s emotional needs.
APPROPRIATE ONE-ON-ONE INTERACTIONSLittle League® Baseball and Softball emphasizes that volunteers should always follow basic safety procedures to limit one-on-one interactions, including use of the “buddy system.” Little League has expanded the
Child Protection Program guidance to break down what are proper one-on-one interactions and what is prohibited during one-on-one interactions.
FIRST AID KITS: AN ITEMS LISTBringing a first aid kit to all games and practices is an important part of implementing your league’s ASAP Safety Plan. Your league’s Safety Officer should ensure first aid kits are fully stocked throughout the season. Keep a list of supplies in your first aid kit, so it can be replenished as needed. If managers or coaches use any first aid supplies, they should work to replace them through your league’s appropriate purchasing process before the team meets again.
